Nov 14: Irritation
The epitome of righteous indignant irritation resides right in my very own life.
I am experiencing that very feeling. The pinnacle of silliness also resides right in my very own life. I am experiencing that as well. Before the end of this story I must first tell you the beginning. Several years ago we got Frankey our basset hound as an 8 week old pup for Stephani. Shortly thereafter I taught Frankey to howl with me. In reality I look like a total nut howling to get him to howl with me but I worked hard on this duet. In the past couple of days I put my music instructor hat back on and taught Gio (my 15 month old) to howl with Frankey and I. I was VERY excited to show Mary our new trio. Unfortunately he mastered it yesterday, and Mary was not available to see it. This morning Gio woke up cranky. Hence, It was just a bit ago that the Musical act was ready to perform. I got Frankey going but Gio was distracted. When I turned away to pick something up from the floor and get Gio's attention, Katie snapped Gio up off the floor and began howling. I told her to stop because I wanted to show it but she continued. Then it happened, All three broke into canine song. Mary thought it was very cute. I was outraged (maybe too strong a word but....) Hence the first sentences of this post. I am so irritated. I worked to teach em to howl with me and someone comes along and steals my spotlight. I also feel tremendously silly to be feeling that irritated. I expect that both feelings are valid but honestly I don't care about the silly. That was my thunder, and I wanted it. I wanted to sing as part of MY trio. How do you think Beethoven would have felt if his little brother came up and directed his best symphony in front of the King before Beethoven got the chance. In a time in America where good jobs are non-existent and profound accomplishments elude me daily, I find myself compelled to cling to these minor triumphs. What think you my readers?
Nov 2: Christmas Wishlists
Amazon.com rules! No kidding, they really do. I was going oover my trusty wishlist and found a new feature out there on the interweb.
Did you know that you can get a link bar button that will add items you want but are not sold by Amazon to your Amazon.com wishlist. This is just SOOOOO cool. You can add the button from this page.
I have had awesome results using Amazon wishlists for family to get ideas for Christmas presents. It is so could when you get something you have been hoping for. with the amazon wishlist, if people use it right then their are no duplicates. You can find my most recent wishlist at Amazon.com. And Now Mik has a wishlist of his own. Hope it helps the grandparents and aunts and uncles. Just go to Amazon.com to take a look.
So Again.....

Sep 11: New Pics
Mary got a new Kodak so we are back in the taking pictures of our kids business.
There are new pics of Giovanni, Brontë(obviously), Nyoka, myself, and our cat Bob. There will many more soon but these are our first run. I had to buy a car reader to transfer these to my computer to upload here. So keep an eye out and see whats to come.
Apr 28: Take Me (and Nyoka) Out to the Ball Park
Nyoka: Dad, do you like the Louisville Sluggers?
Sean: Who?
Nyoka: The Louisville Sluggers. Do you like them?
Sean: Do you know who the "Lousiville sluggers are?"
Nyoka: Yeah. They are a babesball team.
Sean: (thinking this is funny)Mary! Ask Nyoka who the Louisville Sluggers are!!!
Mary: who are they Nyoka?
Nyoka: A baseball team.
Mary: (glaring at Sean) I am calling uncle Dave and telling him that he needs to come up here and spend more time with Nyoka, because you are failing in your duties as a father.
Sean: (grumbling in fresh embarrassment) Yeah...well...OK. Nyoka, Louisville Slugger is the company who makes the official baseball bats for ALL Major League Baseball Teams. They are the bats everyone uses.
It was so much funnier at the beginning of the story when I wasn't the person to be laughed at. Somehow it always comes out this way though.
Apr 7: Bye Bye Munchers...STRESS
Well the Piranha went bye bye today.
Yup, that's right. I got rid of them. I didn't sell them. I virtually had to give them away. I can't say I'm worried about them not having a good home though. I am pretty sure this guy will treat them right. They just weren't the fish for me. We never really seemed to click. They just didn't have that certain personality that I like in my fish. They never seemed to "click" with me. And, since Mary never really liked them at all, it wasn't really a hard decision. I decided to go with a whole new look on the 90 gallon tank. New fish and substrate and everything. Mary seems more into these fish too. I go get em tomorrow and then when they are settled in I will take pics and show you what they are and talk more about them. For now though, I am just majorly.....

Jan 6: A Graduation Blast From The Past
Mary and I Graduated from College together in December of 2002. They wrote a Newspaper article about us and everything. It was a grand day. I earned My bachelor's and Mary her Associates Degree. Mary Just finished her Bachelor Degree this past December and will walk to receive it this coming May. While surfing a bit ago I found the Newspaper article online that they wrote about us. I figured why not post it here? I do think its pretty cool ya know.
