Jun 27: Our FIRST Airbender
Lots of changes. I have definitely NOT been keeping up with my blogging. Sorry bout that to my readers. The first development happend a couple of weeks ago. 
Mary's Nephew was over at our house being babysat for the day. we ran to get groceries and were gone for about an hour and when we got home he had cut ALL of baby Gio's hair off. Not a bald patch here and there,....all of it. everything was cut to about 1/4 inch with a couple fuzzy tufts of longer hair. He had next managed to "benderfy" all of JOEE's barbies and then started on JOEE's hair before he got caught. Several HUGE chunks were cut out of Joee's hair. the entire left side of her head is above the ear. There is a chunk out of the back as well, and her bangs are gone. Now the cruelest 2 things are poor Gio related. OK first is the simple loss of ALL of those curls. The girls use to call him Fabio. Now its Vin Diesel. And all of those curl...well nephew boy mashed them to gether with Barbie hair and Joee hair. So we dont even have that 1 curl to remember it by. Don't know which aspect bothers me most. But if we decided to go Pollyanna style and play the Glad game, then I can say I am glad that he started with Gio first. Imagine a bald Joee.

I love my kid. I love her Matthew too. I miss them both so very much. 
I'll miss them more on Thanksgiving when I can't see them here in my home. The funny thing is Its bittersweet. I know they will be having there own Thanksgiving celebration and we will be having ours. I know we all be thankful for what we have. But I get to be happy and thankful in anticipation, because my kid and her Matthew will some day give us some of these. So in the end it will be worth it all.
Off the topic, but we have a new behavior issue with our youngest, Giovanni. It appears he has decided to
take a stand of solidarity with the guinea pigs. He walks over, rips the top of the cage off and climbs in to sit with the guinea pigs. When he is forcibly removed from the cage and sent on his way he doesn't whine. Instead he waits for us to start reassembling the cage and then he proceeds directly to the OTHER cage, rips the top off and climbs on in.
He just illustrated his ingenuity again. He drug a bucket of cat litter over next to my chair. He
then climbed up on the bucket and then into my lap. From my lap, he climbed up onto the desk and is now standing with his fists on his hips surveying his domain like some king out of a children's book. Maybe we should cut back on reading time or at least be more selective in what we are reading to him. Perhaps just some books on colors and numbers.
I am SUCH a lucky dad!
I'll miss them more on Thanksgiving when I can't see them here in my home. The funny thing is Its bittersweet. I know they will be having there own Thanksgiving celebration and we will be having ours. I know we all be thankful for what we have. Sep 11: New Pics
Mary got a new Kodak so we are back in the taking pictures of our kids business. 
There are new pics of Giovanni, Brontë(obviously), Nyoka, myself, and our cat Bob. There will many more soon but these are our first run. I had to buy a car reader to transfer these to my computer to upload here. So keep an eye out and see whats to come.

Well I have started my new job with DHL. 3rd shift training classes are not my idea of a good time. So far though it's not been too awfully bad. One of my old leads from Comair is in my class so it gives me a familiar face and someone to talk too. Its about 145 AM and I should have about 2 and a half hours to go. I tried one of those 5 hour energy drinks and so far its keeping me functional. I am usually in bed by midnight at the latest so I am running on borrowed time right now. Hope he sand man doesn't get so angry that he refuses to come around when I finally do get home to bed. I must be a SERIOUS geek to be on my computer during my lunch at work, but I figured it was better than napping or anything. I wonder how the getting to sleep during he day thing will work out with Mary tomorrow (or is that today)?The funniest thing has been going on with Gio. Joee has a smaller sized Powerwheels quad runner and Giovanni rides it all around. H sits cockeyed on it so his foot can reach the power pedal. We turn the wheel all the way to the right so it locks and Gio rides round and round in circles by himself. he loves it. I will try to get some pics and video to upload to the site.
May 6: Just Put One Foot In Front Of The Other
Gio took his first steps today! 
He walked on step without falling and then later he let go of the chair he was using for support and walked 5 steps unassisted to me. That has GOT to be on of the top ten all time coolest things for a guy to experience. Having your child take those first steps to you is amazing.
I credit it all to probably the greatest motivational song of all time.

He's really growing too. Not so much in size but in abilities. He is cruising around furniture standing up now.
